Diana Reid, Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist
About Me
I currently live in Europe with my husband and three children, in the tiny country of Luxembourg. I provide nutritional counseling and coaching both in-person and online or via telephone to clients around the world. See below for my licensing/credentials.
I conduct consultations in English and French, and speak intermediate Spanish as well.
Credentials
I am licensed as a Diététicienne-Nutritionniste by the Ministère de la Santé of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. My Luxembourg dietitian registration number is: 361030-93.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN), certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration in the United States. I am also licensed as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Washington. My US dietitian registration number is: 86017768.
Education
I hold a Master of Public Health degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Washington. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University in the field of marketing and business administration, and worked in this field for 15 years prior to returning to graduate school to study nutrition.
I also complete at least 20-30 hours of continuing education each year and hold numerous certifications. (See more below). It’s important to me to stay up-to-date on the latest research to ensure my clients and patients get the best care.
Professional Experience
My dietetic experience includes inpatient (hospital), outpatient (clinics, private practice) and educational (university) settings, both during graduate training and my professional career. I have a diverse range of experience in assessing and treating nutritional issues and providing nutrition education and lifestyle counseling for patients and clients of wide ranging socioeconomic, ethnic and medical backgrounds. I am a gut health specialist, and am certified by Monash University in implementing the Low FODMAP Diet. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
Speaking Engagements
I love to speak to groups (online and in person) and am sought after speaker in my community and throughout the world on topics like nutrition & neurodivergence, the menopause transition, feeding & eating challenges in neurodivergent individuals, eating disorder prevention & treatment, and more. The Personal
I am a midlife, menopausal mom of two teens and a young adult, which generally means I’m kind of tired. I also have a very clingy puppy from the pandemic days!
I love cycling, hiking, weight lifting, reading, cooking and traveling. I'm originally from Seattle, Washington, but have lived in San Francisco, Guatemala and Luxembourg as well.
I love food. And eating. Which is good, because that's also what I love to talk about all day.
I speak English, French, Spanish and a bit of Luxembourgish, and enjoy learning about new cultures. I especially love discovering new foods and sharing meals with my family and friends.
